Job summary

EDU-AIDs LLC is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team in Westport, CT. The role provides one-on-one or small-group academic support, helps implement IEP goals, and contributes to a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

You will assist with materials preparation, monitor student behavior, and communicate progress to teachers and families, while collaborating with staff and parents for student success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree preferred; varies by district/state.
• ParaPro certification may be required.
• Experience with children in education, childcare or special ed.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, parents and community.

Responsibilities

• Support students with special education needs and IEP goals.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group academic help.
• Monitor behavior and reinforce positive conduct.
• Assist with organization, materials prep and bulletin boards.
• Support personal care needs when required (toileting, feeding, mobility).
• Communicate concerns and progress to teachers and staff.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
