Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize appropriate resources for instructional activities.
• Assist students in preparing for and engaging in classroom activities.
• Provide clear directions and guidance during lessons and activities.
• Support the delivery of instruction by assisting the teacher and monitoring student understanding.
• Interact with students to ensure comprehension and engagement with instructional materials.
• Offer feedback to students regarding their performance and progress.
• Assist with correcting and reviewing student work.
• Monitor and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
• Observe and collect data on student progress as directed by the teacher.
• Assist in implementing modifications and accommodations for students.
• Collaborate with regular and special education staff to support student success.
• Provide general explanations of classwork and reinforce learning concepts for students.
• Help students with work completion and other academic tasks.
• Communicate student progress, challenges, and behavior to the teacher, staff, or administration as needed.
• Assist the teacher in overseeing individual and group student behavior to maintain an orderly school environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services or Principal.
