Job summary

The Allentown School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support teachers and students in a safe, supportive learning environment. The role involves implementing instructional directives, assisting with ESOL, Title and special education materials, and helping to establish routines for student mastery.

Compliance with education requirements and clearances is essential. Starting salary is $21.75 per hour, with comprehensive benefits upon qualification.

Qualifications

• Must meet basic reading, writing, and math competencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the principal and other professionals in maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the school.
• Assist the principal and other professionals in the delivery of instructional and tutorial strategies.
• Assist all students in building routines and mastery of instructional materials involving ESOL, Title, special education, library, reading and related areas.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations as per standing orders and other policies and procedures.
• Performs such other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Superintendent of Schools or principal.

Starting Salary: $21.75/hr.
