Job summary

Northside Middle School in Shreveport, LA seeks a Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities in moderate/severe classrooms and provide medical/health-related assistance as needed. Qualifications

• Pass the teacher/paraprofessional assessment with a score of 450 or higher.
• Associate degree or higher; official transcripts are required.
• 48 hours of college with six hours of Math and nine hours of English (official transcripts are required).

Responsibilities

• Performs non-complex and complex health procedures as applicable, including health plans.
• Implements instructional plans developed with the classroom teacher.
• Maintains medical logs and documentation of health procedures.
• Provides routine supervision in study areas, cafeterias, halls, playgrounds, and during field trips.
• Supports positive behavior strategies and Behavioral Plans as applicable.
• Assists students with computer applications and assistive technology.
