Willow Springs School is seeking a Paraprofessional for a long-term leave position to support classroom instruction and student learning. The role runs from November 9, 2026 to February 1, 2027, approximately, starting November 9, 2026.

The paraprofessional will reinforce literacy, math, and other skills, assist with assignments, manage classroom routines, supervise during lunch and transitions, and ensure alignment with district goals.

Paraprofessional – Long Term Leave Position
Employment Dates: November 9, 2026 – February 1, 2027 (approximately)

Job Description:

The Paraprofessional supports classroom instruction and student learning by working closely with teachers and other certified staff to reinforce academic skills, provide individualized student support, and maintain a positive and productive learning environment. This temporary position will begin on November 9, 2026 and go through February 1, 2027 (approximately). The paraprofessional will assist with instructional and non-instructional responsibilities in alignment with district curriculum, policies, and educational goals.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Illinois Paraprofessional License or appropriate substitute license.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, administrators, and other school staff.
• Ability to support students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

Responsibilities:

• Reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, technology, and other academic skills through individual and small-group support.
• Assist students in completing classroom assignments and participating in instructional activities.
• Support classroom management and reinforce classroom expectations to promote a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment.
• Provide student supervision during lunch, recess, hallway transitions, and other non-instructional activities as assigned.
• Follow Board of Education policies, district procedures, and applicable requirements of the Illinois School Code.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by administration.

Compensation:Compensation will be determined in accordance with the district's Collective Bargaining Agreement and work experience.
