Job summary

Mary Crane Center in Canada is seeking a Paraprofessional to support preschool children with disabilities in Head Start classrooms. You will collaborate with lead teachers to create a safe, nurturing learning space where all children can access curriculum, participate in activities, and build foundational skills.

The role involves assisting with instruction, managing routines, behavior support, preparing materials, and communicating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Paraprofessional License required.
• Experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in providing instruction and supervision for children with disabilities.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support classroom routines, meals, and transitions.
• Use developmentally appropriate language and positive guidance.
• Help implement activities aligned with Head Start and standards.
• Maintain safe, clean classroom environments and report concerns.
