Qualifications

• Requires at least 36 college hours from an accredited college or university.
• Missouri paraprofessional test or 20-hour online substitute training program required or preferred.
• A valid Missouri Teaching Certificate is preferred.
• Ability to perform essential functions with accommodations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Administer, score, and record achievement and diagnostic tests as recommended.
• Assist with strategies to reinforce material based on student needs.
• Operate and care for classroom equipment used for instruction.
• Support students with transitions and supervision during drills, field trips, etc.
• Read to students and participate in oral reading activities.
• Assist substitute teachers in absence of the regular teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards.
