Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Paraprofessional III for General Education, Preschool, Exceptional Student Services and Behavior Support Programs at Southwest School. This school-based, nine-month position offers hourly pay and responsibilities including instructional support, small-group work, and material development.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for an AA degree/60 credits or paraprofessional test, and a Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Must have English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff.
• Patience and understanding of basic learning processes.
• Ability to bend, lift up to 40 pounds, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and non-instructional support under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
• Work with individual students and small groups.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and training modules.
• Help reinforce appropriate student behavior and social skills.
• Assist with enrichment activities like field trips, arts, and recreation.
• Support activities of daily living for students as needed.
• Maintain instructional records and equipment inventories.
• Assist with testing administration and scoring.
• Attend ongoing staff trainings.
