Job summary

PediaStaff is seeking dedicated Instructional Paraprofessionals to support students in the Kansas City, KS area, collaborating with certified Special Education Teachers to implement inclusive and personalized plans.

Role involves 1:1 or 2:1 support, mobility-related tasks if needed, and adapting materials to student needs in a supportive school setting. Strong teamwork and compassion for young learners are essential.

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of 40-hour behavioral training course OR must have 6 months of ABA experience.
• Meets Kansas paraprofessional qualification requirements by possessing 48 college credit hours, an associate's degree (or higher), or passing a state-approved paraprofessional assessment (e.g., ParaPro or WorkKeys)

Responsibilities

• Assist with classroom instruction and provide 1:1 or small group support for students with disabilities.
• Adapt educational materials and activities to meet diverse learning needs.
• Observe and manage student behavior to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Keep records of student progress and behavior; assist with classroom management.
• Work with students with various disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, and emotional disturbances.
