Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree or ParaPro/WorkKeys certification.
• Minimum of two years experience with young children.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with classroom teacher to implement enrichment activities reinforcing daily instruction.
• Implements activities for children ages 3 to 7 using varied materials across curriculum areas.
• Supports self-help skills such as zippering, buttoning, tying shoes, eating, hand washing and bathroom use.
• Maintains a classroom climate conducive to learning.
• Supervises routines including snack, rest, and outdoor/indoor play.
• Fosters open communications with parents and staff.
• Supervises bus boarding to ensure safe seating and belting.
• Participates in ten hours of paid professional development beyond the workday.
• Performs other duties as requested by the Principal.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

48 Credit Hours of College Coursework or Associate's Degree or ParaPro/WorkKeys

Minimum of two years experience with young children

Current authorization to work in the United States
