Job summary

Alpha Management Services, Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide Community Living and Supports for individuals with IDD. You will support daily living, promote independence, and help individuals engage in home and community activities.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks and drug screening. CPR/FA and NCI training are offered onsite to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for position).
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• CPR/FA and NCI training provided on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support in the home and community setting.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as hygiene, dressing and meal prep.
• Encourage community integration through outings and social activities.
• Implement goals in the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
• Use prompting and teaching strategies to promote independence.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment.
• Complete accurate documentation (daily service notes, EVV).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families and team members.
