Inkster Preparatory Academy, part of ACCEL Schools, is seeking a Paraprofessional to support teachers in delivering instruction and to help create a positive learning environment in Inkster, Michigan.

The role includes assisting with lessons, classroom activities, and school-wide events, while ensuring student safety and adherence to school policies. Strong MS Office skills and a BC I/FBI background check are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of college coursework or completion of the Para Professional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• BCI/FBI background check clearance required.
• Ability to meet educational standards and manage confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support lessons and assist the Teacher with classroom activities for individuals or groups.
• Help plan classroom activities and support teacher and school leader in student relations.
• Assist with school activities and events (parent nights, assemblies, field trips, etc.).
• Perform clerical duties (grading papers, copying) and assist with classroom technology.
• Maintain classroom, lunchroom, and other areas' cleanliness; promote positive school climate.
