Job summary

Jerome Joint School District 261 Falls City Academy in Jerome, Idaho is seeking a Paraprofessional to support licensed staff, supervise students, and assist with instructional activities in and out of the classroom, including ELL support. The role requires at least a high school diploma with an AA degree preferred and prior experience with children is desired.

The position is full-time, on-site with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma; AA degree preferred.
• Meet Highly Qualified requirements per Federal and State guidelines.
• Previous experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for children on playground, bus lines, lunch rooms, and during drills and field trips.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist the teacher in implementing strategies to reinforce material or skills.
• Notify regular teacher of any problems or information about a student.
• Serve as a resource for substitute teachers in absence of the regular teacher.
• Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality of student information.
