Job summary

Middletown Township School District is seeking qualified paraprofessionals to support preschool and elementary students. Positions are available immediately through 6/30/2027, with hours up to 29.75 per week.

Hourly rates are $26.55 for B Rate and $30.41 for C/D Rate. Qualifications include 48 college credits or Paraprofessional Praxis, BS/BA preferred, NJ Teaching Certificate preferred.

Qualifications

• Assists teacher in the delivery of an effective instructional program.
• Records and/or collects data under the direction of the teacher.
• Monitors and implements Behavior Intervention Plans and addresses behavior as required.
• Assists with physical care of students, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 college credits or Paraprofessional Praxis test required.
• BS/BA degree preferred
• NJ Teaching Certificate preferred
• Paraprofessionals who were hired and have been continuously employed with MTPS as of June 2005 and passed the in-district paraprofessional assessment are not required to meet the qualifications above.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher in the delivery of effective instructional program
• Record and/or collect data under the direction of the teacher
• C/D Rate assignments: Monitor and implement a student's Behavior Intervention Plan / Address behavior as required
• C Rate assignments: Assist with physical care of students, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering
