Qualifications

• Education requirements include passing a paraprofessional test or possessing college credits/degree options.

Responsibilities

• Implements strategies to reinforce positive student behavior and works with the classroom teacher.
• Collects data and maintains a behavior log as determined by the Behavior Intervention Plan.
• Provides intensive behavior intervention using Handle with Care training as required.
• Interacts with students appropriately and respectfully during incidents of inappropriate behavior.
• Maintains logs of student progress and supports students in inclusive, resource, and self-contained classrooms.
