Job summary

Qualifications

• 60 hours of college credit or Para Pro Test completion.
• Must meet local, state and federal confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to complete Crisis Prevention Intervention training.

Responsibilities

• Relate well with children and parents, treating all with dignity and respect.
• Assist teacher in any way possible.
• Assist in maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist students with academic and behavioral deficit skills as directed.
• Maintain documentation and records as required by the principal.
• Assist in implementing an individualized education program as needed.
• Prepare instructional materials as needed.
• Supervise students in hallways, classroom, or restroom during teacher absence.
