Portland Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Class 1 at Portland Middle School to assist students with instructional and non-instructional needs as directed by teachers and administration. The role includes active supervision during lunch periods, promoting safety and positive interactions, and supporting lunchroom routines and transitions.

The position is part-time (approximately 15 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 10:45 a.m.–1:45 p.m.), with compensation per PESPA.

The desired candidate would possess the following attributes:

Position Details

• Title: Paraprofessional Class 1
• Location: Portland Middle School
• Reports To: Middle School Principal or Designee
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:45 a.m.–1:45 p.m. (approximately 15 hours per week), additional hours may be available based on student and district needs.
• Calendar: School Year, Part-Time
• Compensation: In accordance with the Portland Educational Support Personnel Association (PESPA) Collective Bargaining Agreement, including applicable retirement and paid leave benefits.
