Job summary

Qualifications

• Praxis and ParaPro are preferred credentials.
• Associate's degree or 60 college credits required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with children with disabilities strongly preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher directions and district protocols.
• Ability to lift, move or support student physical needs as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to an assigned student throughout the school day.
• Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in the student's IEP under the supervision of a certified special education teacher.
• Support the student in both general education and special education settings, including transitions between activities or locations.
• Monitor and collect data on student performance and behavior as required.
• Assist with personal care needs, mobility, and/or medical protocols if necessary (training provided).
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment.

This position requires an individual who can work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and families to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support tailored to the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
