Job summary

The Camden County School System is seeking a paraprofessional to assist teachers with classroom activities, prepare displays and instructional materials, and support in-service programs.

Candidates must have an associate degree or higher, or meet GPA/credit-hour or GACE Paraprofessional requirements, and maintain strict confidentiality about student and school information.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in any subject from GaPSC-accepted institution.
• 60 semester hours of college coursework beyond remedial level with grade C or better.
• Pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with classroom activities and prepare displays and instructional materials.
• Participate in in-service school programs.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student and school system affairs.

Salary: Based on the 2026-27 Approved Camden County Board of Education Salary Schedule

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold an associate's degree or higher in any subject from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution. OR Have completed two 2 years of college coursework (sixty [60] semester hours) above the remedial level with a grade of "C" or better at a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution. OR Have passed the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment and hold a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Assist teacher with classroom activities; prepare class displays, bulletin boards, and other instructional materials. Assumes other responsibilities as the teacher may assign
• Participate in in-service school programs
• Maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism regarding student and school system affairs

SECURITY CLEARANCE: House Bill 1187 mandates that all certificated individuals new

to the school system, after July 1, 1994, submit to fingerprinting and a criminal record check.
