Job summary

Ability Matters is seeking team members in Ohio to support students with disabilities through inclusive, personalized learning experiences. We collaborate with local schools and families to implement individualized education plans and community-based learning.

You will work with educators, provide behavioral support, and help maintain a safe learning environment while building strong relationships with students, staff, and families to foster inclusion and growth.

Qualifications

• At least a 2-year degree; a 4-year degree is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in education or community outreach is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to plan lessons and activities that support students' IEP goals.
• Engage in Community-Based Learning with hands-on experiences outside the classroom.
• Provide support by following training and behavioral guidance to ensure student safety.
• Help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Build relationships with students, staff, and families to foster a caring community.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: Previous experience in education or community outreach is a plus, but not required.
• Skills: Good communication, problem-solving, and willingness to learn.
• Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
