Give children a head start! CPCD is hiring a paraprofessional in Colorado Springs to support students with diverse and intensive learning needs. You will work under licensed professionals to provide instructional, behavioral, and health-related support in classroom and community settings.

The role begins on October 19th and requires a HS diploma or equivalent, with CDA or ECE credentials preferred. 40 hours per week, with competitive benefits after 25+ hours.

Competenze

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of specialized training or an associate's degree in ECE or related field.
• CDA or ECE PDIS credential, or plan to obtain within one year of hire.
• Must obtain First Aid CPR and medication administration certification within 90 days.
• Must be able to lift/carry/manipulate up to 40 pounds.
• Background check and TB/screening required per Head Start standards.

Job Description

Working under the guidance of licensed professionals, this position provides direct instructional, behavioral, and health-related support in classroom and community settings.

Pay

$23.68/per hour

Requirements

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of specialized training or an associate's degree in ECE or related field.
• CDA or the Early Childhood Professional Level II credential through the State of Colorado’s Professional Development Information System (PDIS), or plan to obtain within one year of hire.
• Must obtain First Aid CPR, and medication administration certification within 90 days
• of employment and maintain as required.
• Must be able to lift/carry/manipulate up to 40 pounds.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check in accordance with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and Childcare Licensing. (Physical examination and TB test thereafter as required).
• Must have access to reliable transportation and if using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science
• 0–2 years working with children with special needs.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish
