Job summary

Jump Ahead Pediatrics is seeking a Paraprofessional for a temporary, school-based role near Westfield, New Jersey. The position runs 8:30am-3:00pm with pay of $20-$25 per hour, and features exclusive school placement with no travel requirements.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers, supporting students' learning needs, and promoting positive behavior in the classroom. Eligible candidates need an Associate’s Degree, 60 college credits, or have passed the Paraprofessional Praxis Pro Exam.

Setting:

School-Based Services

• Hours: 8:30am-3:00pm
• Pay: $20-$25
• Exclusive school placement (no travel required)

Responsibilities:

• Assist Classroom Teachers: Provide support to teachers by helping with instructional activities, managing classroom materials, and ensuring a positive learning environment for all students.
• Support Students' Learning Needs: Work closely with individual or small groups of students to reinforce lessons, assist with assignments, and provide accommodations for those with special educational needs.
• Promote Positive Behavior: Help monitor and guide student behavior in the classroom and during school activities, ensuring adherence to school policies and promoting a safe, respectful learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree OR at least 60 college credits OR you have passed the Paraprofessional Praxis Pro Exam
