Job summary

JCW Group in Seattle is seeking a Paraplanner to support its growing financial planning practice and advisory team. This role blends technical planning with client service and operations, providing hands-on exposure and a clear path toward becoming a Financial Planner.

You will build plans in eMoney, model scenarios, support equity compensation planning, prepare client materials, and manage accounts at Schwab, CRM workflows, and routine client requests.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in financial planning or wealth management.
  • CFP certification in progress or clear intention to pursue it.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage responsibilities, track outstanding items, and follow through.
  • Comfort balancing technical planning and analysis with client service and operational responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in building a long-term career in financial planning.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain client financial plans in eMoney, including data gathering and plan accuracy.
  • Prepare scenario modeling across retirement, cash flow, education funding, insurance, and risk.
  • Support planning around equity compensation, concentrated stock, RSUs and options, and liquidity events.
  • Prepare client meeting materials and manage post-meeting notes and actions.
  • Research financial planning questions with clear, well-sourced findings.
  • Open and maintain client accounts at Schwab, including paperwork and transfers.
  • Handle day-to-day client service requests, including distributions and account inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate client records, tasks, and workflows within the CRM.
  • Prepare client reports and support quarterly reporting cycles.

Our client, a growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in Seattle is seeking a Paraplanner to support their financial planning practice and advisory team. This role combines technical financial planning with client service and operations, offering hands‑on exposure to sophisticated planning needs and a clear path toward becoming a Financial Planner.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain client financial plans in eMoney, including data gathering, account connections, and ongoing plan accuracy
  • Prepare scenario modeling across retirement, cash flow, education funding, insurance, and risk
  • Support planning around equity compensation, concentrated stock, RSUs and options, and liquidity events
  • Prepare client meeting materials and agendas and manage post‑meeting notes and action items
  • Research financial planning questions and provide clear, well‑sourced findings
  • Open and maintain client accounts at Schwab, including paperwork, transfers, and registration changes
  • Handle day‑to‑day client service requests, including distributions, document requests, and account inquiries
  • Maintain accurate client records, tasks, and workflows within the CRM
  • Prepare client reports and support quarterly reporting cycles
What We’re Looking For
  • 1–2 years of experience in financial planning or wealth management
