Job summary

Legacy Financial Partners in Brookings, SD, is seeking a proactive Paraplanner to support Financial Advisors in a fast-paced, client‑focused environment. You will help prepare client meeting materials, financial reports, and planning docs while upholding professional standards.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of financial services experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Fully licensed: SIE, Series 7, Series 66, and Insurance.
  • Professional appearance and client service orientation.
  • Fast learner, tech-savvy, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Financial Advisors in preparing client meeting materials, financial reports, and planning documents.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing timely responses to inquiries.
  • Facilitate client onboarding and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Process on accounts: master trade tickets, money movement, and brokerage trades.
  • Maintain logs of transactions, plan updates, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with advisors to follow up on action items and improve workflows.

Paraplanner will assist Financial Advisors in managing and organizing office workflow.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist Financial Advisors in preparing client meeting materials, financial reports, and planning documentsServe as a primary point of contact for clients, providing timely and professional responses to inquiries: Proactively communicate with clients regarding account updates, paperwork needs, and service timelinesAccount setup: Facilitate client onboarding and ensure all documentation is completed accuratelyTrading on all accounts: Master trade tickets, money movement system and brokerage trades401k Processes-Rollovers, ACATS and 403b transfersEnsure accuracy and completeness of investment documentation and compliance formsCollaborate with advisors to follow up on action items and client deliverablesCAR CreationMaintain logs of transactions, plan updates, and client communicationsHandle sensitive client information with discretion and confidentialityProcess account applications, transfers, and routine maintenance requestsLiaise with sponsor companies and home office teams to resolve service issuesEnsure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirementsMonitor workflow and identify opportunities for process improvementPerform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goalsIdeal Education & Experience:2 years of Financial Service Experience preferredBachelors Degree or Equivalent ExperienceFully Licensed: SIE, Series 7, Series 66, InsuranceCompensation and Hours:Compensation: Depends on experienceStarting at $60,000As a full time employee you are also eligible for our benefits program, which includes medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, 401(k), PTO, holiday pay and other benefitsOffice hours are Monday Friday 8:00am to 5:00pmAs you are considering applying with Legacy Financial Partners, we encourage you to think outside the box – because we do!
