Job summary

You will create and maintain models, follow project standards, and support engineers with data-driven design; the role requires 0–5 years CAD experience, a Vocational/Associates degree, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Inventor.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of experience in CAD design, preferring electrical or substation projects.
• Ability to take marked drawings and produce complete CADD drawings to standards.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic designs for substations and produce models and drawings following standards.
• Perform electrical design tasks applying fundamental engineering concepts.
• Reference vendor prints and catalogs for designs.
• Create intelligent, standardized equipment models for substations.
• Assist engineers with data input for general-purpose programs and quantities.
• Ensure compliance with design safety factors, tolerances, and specs.
• Utilize LiDAR survey scans to support field verification and generate models.
• Verify lower-level staff work for technical quality and compliance.
