Job summary

Oklahoma State University-OKC seeks a Clinical Instructor for the Paramedicine degree program to meet with students at clinical sites and provide continuous on-site instruction for EMT and paramedic students.

The role requires meeting with students, supervising labs, and ensuring safety and quality in clinical education, with duties under the Paramedicine Program Director. This 6-month or shorter appointment includes occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required; degree must be conferred on or before start date.
• Minimum of one year field experience with an EMS agency as a paramedic.
• Current National Registry of EMTs Paramedic certification.
• Current Oklahoma Paramedic license.
• AHA BLS Provider certification.
• AHA ACLS Provider certification (paramedic only).
• AHA PALS/PEPP Provider certification (paramedic only).

Responsibilities

• Participates in the instruction of EMT and Paramedic lab courses.
• Function under the direction of the Paramedicine Program Director.
• Prepare lab for classes, help dismantle and clean up after lab activities.
• Demonstrates the safe and proper use of lab equipment and hazardous or bio hazardous materials.
• Provide leadership and positive role modeling for students.
• Attend annual program meeting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
