Job summary

ConvenientMD LLC in Saco, ME seeks a licensed paramedic to join our Urgent Care team as an Urgent Care Technician. You will triage patients, perform procedures, and support providers in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Requires EMT national certification, BLS, high school diploma, and IV placement experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential; travel to nearby ConvenientMD locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Licensed paramedic (preferred nationally certified) with prior IV placement experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; BLS certification required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients by taking vital signs and documenting history.
• Perform diagnostic and testing procedures (vision/hearing tests, drug screens, spirometry).
• Conduct point-of-care testing (strep, flu, RSV, SARS-CoV-2, glucose, lipid, urinalysis).
• Provide ECGs, AED use, nebulizer treatments, and oxygen administration.
• Administer wound care, immunizations, and medications per regulations.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and document treatments.
• Ensure instruments are clean, sterilized, and workspace is stocked.
• Collaborate with clinical team and assist with provider communications.
