Job summary

ConvenientMD in New England seeks a dedicated Paramedic to join as an Urgent Care Technician. You will provide high-quality care, perform triage, assist with exams and procedures, and support providers in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a licensed paramedic (nationally certified preferred), BLS certification, IV placement experience, and strong communication. Travel to nearby ConvenientMD locations may be required; HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed paramedic with valid certification; national certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CPR/ACLS online-only not accepted.
• High school diploma or GED required; experience in urgent care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients by taking vital signs, documenting history, and identifying urgent needs.
• Assist exams and tests, prep equipment, support providers during procedures.
• Perform diagnostic procedures including vision, hearing, drug screens, and spirometry.
• Conduct point‑of‑care tests (strep, flu, RSV, SARS‑CoV‑2, urinalysis, glucose, lipids).
• Provide ECGs, AED use, nebulizer therapy, and oxygen administration.
• Deliver wound care, immunizations, and medication administration per regs.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and document patient histories and treatments.
• Help maintain sterile workspace and support clinic operations.
• Collaborate with clinical team and communicate updates to providers.
