Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center – HCA is seeking a Paramedic Transport for PRN/as-needed shifts in Myrtle Beach. You will respond to medical emergencies, provide advanced critical care during transport, and collaborate with first responders at the scene to ensure patient stability.

As the first healthcare provider on scene, you will administer treatments, lead EMTs, and coordinate care during transport to our hospital.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
• Paramedic certification required

Responsibilities

• Operate emergency medical vehicle and respond to calls for aid in emergent situations.
• Evaluate patient condition to establish the right course of treatment.
• Provide a variety of emergency medical treatment to injured, sick, or incapacitated persons.
• Perform invasive procedures under adverse conditions.
• Manage non-medical situations such as crowd control and protecting the valuables of a patient if necessary.
• Lift and transport patients, ensuring patients remain stable during transport.
• Communicate patient data and condition to professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility.
