Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is seeking a Paramedic Transport PRN to join our emergency response team. The Paramedic responds to medical emergencies, provides advanced critical care during transport, and coordinates with firefighters and police at the scene.

You will operate EMS vehicles, evaluate patient conditions, administer treatments, lead EMTs, and ensure patient stability during transport to the hospital. A range of certifications must be obtained within required timeframes.

Qualifications

• Paramedic certification required within 30 days of start date.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• IS-00100 NIMS Command System within 6 months of start date.
• IS-00200 NIMS IC Single Resource within 6 months of start date.
• IS-00700 NIMS Introduction within 6 months of start date.
• IS-00800B NIMS Resource Framework within 6 months of start date.
• EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Respond to EMS calls and operate emergency medical vehicle.
• Assess patient condition to determine treatment.
• Provide advanced emergency medical care and direct EMTs.
• Perform invasive procedures under field conditions.
• Coordinate with scene safety and protect patient belongings as needed.
• Lift, transport, and monitor patients to ensure stability during transport.
• Communicate patient data to hospital staff and emergency treatment facilities.
