Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is hiring a Paramedic for full-time night shift. You will inspect equipment, monitor patient conditions, educate families, and operate emergency vehicles under varying conditions, ensuring safety and timely care.

Required licensure as a Paramedic with CPR/BLS; 1+ year patient care experience; strong English communication and basic computer skills. Join a mission-driven team delivering care at a trusted Florida facility.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure safety of transport team, patients and the public.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient conditions and treatments as appropriate.
• Educates patients and family members about illnesses and clinical interventions.
• Monitors and anticipates equipment needs to meet care demands during transport.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions.

Job Description

• SIGN ON BONUS - $5,000
• SHIFT - Full Time, 72hrs, Both Days & Nights
• Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments as appropriate.
• Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions.
• Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport.
• Operates emergency vehicles safely in various weather and emergent conditions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to determine the nature of patient conditions and assess whether patients have pre-existing medical conditions [Required]
• Ability to identify and treat life-threatening conditions within the paramedic's field of practice [Required]
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English [Required]
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
• Ambulance transport knowledge [Preferred]
