Job summary

AMR is seeking Paramedics for immediate full-time opportunities across our West Texas region in the United States. You will deliver advanced patient care, assess each call, and lead on-scene operations while coordinating with other responders during 911 calls.

Qualified candidates hold a State Paramedic License and State Driver’s License, along with BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications. Sign-on bonuses apply; contracts run 1 or 2 years.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids).
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance of care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and relations.
