Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Florida Paramedic License is required.
• Emergency Vehicle Operators Certificate is required.
• Current Florida Driver’s License, in good standing, is required.
• Current BLS, PALS and ACLS certifications are required (AHA or ASHI accepted).
• Good communication and listening skills are required.
• Proficient in MS Word and related computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide immediate pre-hospital care.
• Assess scene safety, injuries, and patient condition; determine transport needs.
• Administer emergency medical care and life-support in pre-hospital settings.
• Operate equipment such as EKGs, external defibrillators, and bag-valve resuscitators.
• Transport patients to medical facilities and communicate with receiving staff.
• Restock and decontaminate equipment; maintain ambulance readiness.
