Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc. is seeking a Paramedic to provide safe and efficient emergency and non-emergency medical response, treatment, and transportation. You will perform IV placement, medication administration, and monitor EKGs during transport.

The role requires MA paramedic and National Registry certifications, CPR and ACLS, and 1–3 years EMT B/A experience. You will work in a dynamic, patient-focused environment with adherence to policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Massachusetts Paramedic Certification and National Registry Paramedic Certification.
• Current CPR and ACLS Certification.
• 1–3 years EMT B/A experience.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in accordance with clinical policies, statewide protocol, and standards of care.
• Attend to patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Operate the ambulance in accordance with safety rules and regulations; company policies; federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and statutes.
• Complete an ambulance and medical equipment checklist at the beginning of each shift; inspect and clean the ambulance and all equipment.
• Complete and submit all documentation/PCR requirements daily.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external individuals, including agencies and physicians.
• Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties at assigned bases of operation; maintain knowledge of and comply with all policies.
• Must maintain reliable attendance and report as scheduled.
• Completes other duties as requested and assigned.
• Must be 18 years of age or older; meet essential duties and physical, mental and sensory requirements; pass drug screen and background check; motor vehicle record verification.
