Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance Service Inc. is seeking energized Paramedics to provide safe, efficient response and prehospital care in emergent or non-emergent situations across Massachusetts.

You will perform IVs, administer medications, and monitor EKGs during transport and on scene. Responsibilities include delivering quality patient care per policies, maintaining equipment, completing PCRs daily, coordinating with physicians and agencies, and upholding all safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Paramedic Certification required.
• National Registry Paramedic Certification required.
• Current CPR and ACLS Certification required.
• 1–3 years EMT B or A experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in accordance with clinical policies, statewide protocol, and standards of care.
• Attend to patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Operate the ambulance in accordance with safety rules and regulations; company policies; federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and statutes.
• Complete an ambulance and medical equipment checklist at the beginning of each assigned shift. Inspect and clean the assigned ambulance and all medical equipment to ensure compliance with minimum stock requirements and proper function.
• Complete and submit all documentation/paperwork PCR requirements daily.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external individuals, including agencies, physicians, and other healthcare providers at all times.
• Be knowledgeable of and comply with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties at assigned bases of operation
• Maintains knowledge of and complies with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
• Must maintain a reliable attendance and reports as scheduled and required
• Completes other duties as requested and assigned
