Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Kentucky seeks a Paramedic for Emergency Services on a PRN basis. You will perform direct patient care under an emergency physician, respond to calls, and assist EMS teams in assessment, treatment, and transport.

Join a dedicated ED team focused on timely, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. Required EMT/Paramedic credentials, BLS, ACLS, valid driver's license, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must be currently certified as a Paramedic.
• Graduate of an accredited EMT program or higher.
• Valid state Paramedic certification/licensure or eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Perform direct patient care under the direction of an emergency physician.
• Respond to emergency medical calls and provide basic life support (BLS) under supervision or within scope of noncertified practice.
• Assist certified paramedics and EMTs with patient care, assessment, and transport.
• Perform basic patient monitoring, including vital signs and observation of condition changes.
• Support scene safety, patient packaging, and preparation for transport.
• Clean, restock, and maintain ambulances and medical equipment per protocols and infection control standards.
• Also perform administrative, clerical, and clinical duties as assigned by the RN.

How you'll contribute

A Paramedic who excels in this role:

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and Graduate from an accredited EMT program. Additional requirements include:

• Current state Paramedic certification/licensure (or eligibility for licensure)
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Strong knowledge of emergency medical protocols, patient assessment, and pre-hospital care standards
• Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced emergency situations with strong critical thinking skills
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move patients and equipment in various field conditions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for coordination with EMS, hospital staff, and first responders
