Position Summary:

The Paramedic responds to emergency and non-emergency situations, providing advanced and basic life support. Ensures the unit is well-equipped and stocked. Responsible for scheduling and shift coverage. Shift work includes day, night, 24-hour, and on-call shifts.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from a Paramedic program.
• Current North Carolina Paramedic certification; National Registry preferred.
• Two years of full-time Paramedic experience preferred.
• Life Safety certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/EPC/PEPP (must be maintained); BTLS/PHTLS/ITLS within 6 months of hire.

Physical Requirements:

Requires lifting, securing, and transporting patients, often in adverse weather. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and handle prolonged events exceeding one hour.
