Job summary

Gateway Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a Paramedic on a PRN basis to sit onsite at our Sherman, TX location to facilitate contrast injections and patient care alongside radiology staff. This is PRN coverage with expectations set for on-site availability.

The ideal candidate will hold ACLS, be a certified EMT or Paramedic, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork. Prior to coverage, candidates must document liability insurance and current medical license, complete MRI Safety Screening,

Qualifications

• ACLS certification required.
• Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist with adverse event assessment and treatment instructions, including medication administration.
• Ensure 911 is called when necessary.
• Sit onsite to facilitate contrast injections and patient care alongside radiology staff.

PRN Coverage Needed

Job Summary:

If confronted with an adverse event (contrast reaction, infiltration or situation that requires the radiologist), the Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic should immediately use the Teams audio/video functionality to alert the supervising radiologist. The radiologist will assist with assessment of the patient and provide appropriate treatment instruction, including any medication administration. It is also the responsibility of the on-site contractor to ensure 911 has been called when necessary.

Items listed must be complete prior to onsite coverage.

• Provides documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license
• Completes MRI Safety Screening form
• Review of Emergency Response and MRI Safety training

Requirements:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
