Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years EMS experience.
• Two years of EMS driving with a clean driving record.
• CEVO training course preferred.
• Valid PHTLS or BTLS provider card preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
• Previous experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and directs both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) in the pre-hospital setting.
• Works in coordination with EMS team members under the direction of a licensed Medical Control Physician (MCP) and EMS Supervisor.
• Responds to emergencies involving patients of all ages and backgrounds, in all weather and environmental conditions.
• Uses appropriate equipment and techniques to assess, treat, lift, and safely transport patients.
• Transports patients to appropriate medical facilities based on condition and care needs.
• Accurately completes all required reports and documentation.
• Performs additional duties as assigned to support efficient EMS operations.
• Represents University Hospital and EMS with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
