Job summary

AMR is seeking Paramedics to provide high-quality emergency medical care and patient transport. Responsibilities include assessing calls, leading scenes, and operating ambulances on 911 responses, with an emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered service.

Qualified candidates will hold a State Paramedic License and related certifications, with experience in advanced life support and trauma care. Compensation reflects experience, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid State Paramedic License and PHTLS or trauma cert.
  • Driver’s license in good standing and clean driving record.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification preferred.
  • Able to pass physical agility test and provide healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assess each call to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Apply Paramedic skills with equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

Job Description: Salary Range: $73,394.83 - $112,102.00 depending on experience

We’re hiring Paramedics that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • State Paramedic License
  • PHTLS or a trauma certification equivalent
  • State Driver’s License
  • BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
