Job summary

CSL Plasma in Mesquite, Texas, is seeking a full-time medical professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.

You will interview donors, review medical history, interpret test results for continued suitability, and escalate urgent cases to physicians as needed.

Candidates should have graduate from paramedic/nursing/PA/MD/DO training and at least 1 year in healthcare; experience in plasma centers is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments as allowed by licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donor suitability.
