Job summary

Crisis24 in Maui is seeking an Acute Care Paramedic to provide concierge-level medical care, hospitality, and emergency response to clients, staff, and guests. You will mentor local staff, coordinate referrals, and maintain medical records in a high-service environment.

Requires Hawaii paramedic certification and 911 ALS experience; remote site exposure and telemedicine capabilities are valued. In-home care may be required among other duties.

Qualifications

• Requires NREMT Paramedic License and Hawaii Paramedic certification.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS and PHTLS provider certifications required; instructor certifications preferred.
• 5 years of 911 ALS field experience required; 3+ years in Critical Care Transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides mentorship and training to local Security staff, EMRs, and Fire & Safety personnel per standards.
• Provides preventative, therapeutic, and emergency medical care to clients, staff, and guests.
• Coordinates medical referrals and telemedicine consultations with U.S. healthcare providers.
• Maintains medical supplies, equipment, and EMS vehicles per manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintains electronic medical records and reports patient encounters.
• Develops and maintains clinical policies and telemedicine capabilities.
• Generates monthly reports for clinical services and maintains service records.
• Performs cleaning, care, and disinfection of clinic and work areas.

This position is dedicated to the provision of concierge-level medical care, hospitality, and customer service to specific individual clients or specific locations for members, staff, and guests. The Acute Care Paramedic will provide quality and excellence in the delivery of emergency and preventative medical care and training services to patients and local providers. This role is critical in setting and exceeding delivery and service expectations for clients and team members.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides mentorship and training to local Security staff, EMRs, and Fire & Safety personnel in best practices aligned with U.S. NREMT, NAEMT, AHA standards, and team dynamics, ensuring excellence in medical policies and procedures.
• Provides preventative, therapeutic, and emergency medical care to assigned clients, members, staff, and guests.
• Coordinates medical referrals and consultations with U.S healthcare, local and remote physicians, including telemedicine consultations.
• Maintains all supplies, medical equipment, and emergency response vehicles according to manufacturer’s recommendations and Company procedures.
• Maintains inventory of all medical supplies and equipment on the property. Requests medications and supplies for restock through the correct channels.
• Maintains electronic medical records system and reporting of all patient encounters.
• Assists with developing or maintaining policies and procedures for all clinical operations including telemedicine capabilities and medical evacuations.
• Completes monthly consolidated reports for clinical services provided as requested.
• Generates and maintains accurate records for services rendered as requested.
• Performs cleaning, care, and disinfection of the clinic and work area.
• Ensures the area is safe by conducting inspections to ensure first aid kits are up to date, safety procedures are being followed, hazards are addressed, and incidents are reported
• Develops and presents training programs for staff and clients as requested.
• In-home concierge medical and emergency response services may be required/requested.
• Perform all other duties as reasonably assigned.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required; Associate degree or equivalent experience in an applicable field is preferred.
• NREMT Paramedic License is required
• Hawaii Paramedic certification is required, or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS and PHTLS provider certifications are required, instructor certifications preferred.
• 5 years of 911 ALS field experience is required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Critical Care Transport or an equivalent setting preferred.
• Preferred credentials include –AHA Instructor cards, AMLS, PEPP or EPC.
• Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program (CCEMTP), Certified Critical Care Paramedic (CCP-C) or Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) credentials through the International College of Advanced Practice Paramedics or equivalent is strongly preferred
• Experience interacting with high-net-worth individuals is preferred.
• Experience working in remote locations and austere environments is preferred.
