Job summary

The City of Dixon is looking to fill one vacancy in the Fire Department. The Firefighter/Paramedic Recruit is an entry-level classification designed for recruits with a current paramedic license to gain firefighting, fire rescue, and fire prevention skills and training through an accredited Fire Academy.

This position will attend an accredited academy and receive on-the-job training to learn more about the Firefighter/Paramedic field, with the goal of a full-time appointment after successful

Qualifications

• Pass the FCTC Entry Level Firefighter Written Exam and be placed on the FCTC Statewide Eligibility List.
• Submit Paramedic certification to FCTC.
• Attach all other certificates listed under 'Ideal Candidate' to your application.

Responsibilities

• Attend an accredited academy and receive on-the-job training to learn more about the Firefighter/Paramedic field.
• Complete the academy and probationary period leading to full-time appointment.
