Graduation from a paramedic training program that meetsthe requirements for licensing in the State of California by date of appointment.
Successful completion of High School or possession of a G.E.D.
For out-of-state candidates: Must possess a valid National Registry certification at time of application. Must have applied for a State of California Paramedic license by the time of application and must possess a valid State of California Paramedic License by the time of appointment.
Some work experience performing firefighting and/or paramedic services is desirable.
Passing score (>70%) on the Fire Candidate Testing Center written test (FCTConline.org), to be placed on the FCTC Statewide Eligibility List. The list from FCTC will be pulled the week after the recruitment closes.
Accreditation by the County of Solano as an EMT-P is required. Paramedic certification must be submitted to FCTC.
Possess a current, valid Cal-JAC CPAT Card issued within the last 12 months from date of application submission.
