Job summary

AMR in Knoxville is seeking a Paramedic for a full-time, on-site role delivering advanced patient care on critical calls. You will lead scenes, operate life-saving equipment, and coordinate with medical teams and public safety personnel.

Requirements include a state Paramedic license, BLS/ACLS/NREMT, a valid state driver’s license, and successful completion of a physical agility test. Healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• State Paramedic License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy and pass the Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine the best course of action using Paramedic protocols.
• Apply advanced medical care with equipment such as defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance about care.
• Serve as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image and relations.
