Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility.
• State driver’s license required.
• BLS and ACLS training required; PALS preferred.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine best course of action.
• Utilize Paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide information and reassurance.
• Lead the Paramedic team on the scene and manage the unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel.
