Job summary

Harford Community College is seeking a Paramedic Instructor to deliver practical and classroom instruction, align with course objectives, and assess student performance. Instructors may teach online or in person and may travel locally for courses as needed.

Tier I–III requirements include current ACLS, AHABLS, PALS certifications and Nationally Registered Paramedic status with ALS experience. Open until 12/31/2026 with competitive hourly wages.

Qualifications

• Tier I requires ACLS affiliation and AHABLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• Tier II requires NR Paramedic, ALS experience, and Paramedic Instruction experience with ACLS at least 1 year.
• Tier III adds ability to demonstrate specialized training for contract training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare classroom or training areas and handle training devices.
• Perform basic maintenance on training aids and equipment.
• Deliver instruction to meet course objectives per schedule.
• Supplement curricula with current TTPs and after-action reviews.
• Be available for occasional local course classes.
• Attend trainings on use of high fidelity manikins, ultrasound, and ventilators.
