Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Nebraska Paramedic (EMT-P) licensure required upon hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
• PALS certification required within six months of hire.
• Must maintain all licenses, certifications, and CE requirements in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced emergency medical care and transport to patients in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings.
• Rapidly assess scenes, evaluate conditions, and administer life-saving interventions.
• Operate emergency vehicles safely and document care.
• Participate in code and trauma activations and patient extrication under RN supervision.
• Support patient flow and transport within the ED and hospital campus.
• Maintain compliance with scope-of-practice limitations and CHI Health policies.
• Provide patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.
