Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Services Paramedic for Ground Transport on a part-time basis. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision, supporting the care plan with technical procedures and skills in a fast-paced campus environment.

The role requires an EMT-paramedic program completion, a high school diploma/GED, and three years of related pre-hospital experience, with NR EMP and MS Paramedic certifications within two weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and completion of an EMT-paramedic program.
• Three years of related pre-hospital experience.
• Certification as NR EMP and MS Paramedic within 2 weeks of hire; BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to campus emergencies as requested.
• Assist with triage and ongoing patient assessment with other healthcare providers.
• Administer medications per protocol and per physician order.
• Transports patients to procedures and inpatient care areas.
• Maintain accurate patient care records and communicate changes to EMS personnel.
