Job summary

AMR is hiring a Paramedic for a full-time position. Hourly rates start at $21.50 plus DOE.

The role involves providing basic and advanced patient care, leading the paramedic team on scene, and driving ambulances on 911 responses. Responsibilities include assessing calls, utilizing defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids; communicating with patients and families; and collaborating with healthcare and public safety teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• State Paramedic License is required.
• State Driver’s License is required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications are required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Must pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills and equipment (defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, IV fluids) for advanced care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance of care.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations.
